The image file can be renamed to resolve the WordPress Http Error Image Upload issue. If you try to upload a duplicate file name, WordPress should automatically attach a number to the end, but if it doesn't work, try changing the file. Unfortunately, WordPress does not allow you to rename an image file that has already been submitted, so you'll have to rename it locally and re-upload it.
